These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of CVEasy AI software ("the Software") provided by CVEasy AI ("we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing or using the Software, you agree to these Terms.
1. License Grant
Upon purchase of a Standard or Enterprise license, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on hardware you own or control. Your license includes:
- The right to install the Software on systems you operate
- Access to software updates released during your included update period (12 months for Standard licenses)
- The right to use the Software for commercial or personal purposes within the terms below
2. License Restrictions
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or transfer the Software to third parties
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software beyond what applicable law permits
- Remove or alter proprietary notices or labels on the Software
- Use the Software to provide a competing hosted service
- Use the Software in violation of any applicable law or regulation
3. Perpetual License
Your Standard or Enterprise license is perpetual. It does not expire. You may continue using the version of the Software current at the time your update period ends, indefinitely, without any additional payment. Optional update renewals may be purchased separately to receive new versions.
4. Updates and Support
Standard licenses include 12 months of software updates from the date of purchase. Enterprise licenses include updates and priority support for a period specified in your Enterprise agreement. After the included update period ends, you retain permanent use of the last version received.
5. Early Access
During the early access period, the Software is provided in a pre-release state. Features, pricing, and specifications are subject to change. Early access participants may receive the final product at a discounted or equivalent price as described at time of purchase.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
CVEasy AI provides vulnerability prioritization guidance based on publicly available data (NVD, EPSS, CISA KEV). The Software does not guarantee the security of your systems and should be used as one component of a broader security program.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
8. Privacy
Your use of our website and early-access signup is governed by our Privacy Policy. The Software itself operates locally on your hardware. We do not collect, store, or process any vulnerability data or operational data from the Software.
9. Acceptable Use
CVEasy AI is designed for authorized vulnerability management within environments you own or have explicit permission to assess. Use of the Software against systems without authorization may violate applicable computer crime laws. We accept no liability for unauthorized use.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify active customers of material changes by email.
